CT Head Scan

CT head scans give doctors a visual image that provides detailed information on:

• brain tumors

• sinus disorders

• trauma to the face or skull

CT head scans give doctors more detailed information on such conditions than do regular x-rays (radiographs). A CT head scan can also show bone, soft tissues, and blood vessels.
